The new chief of the General staff of the Army of the CZECH republic from 1. may 2018 had become a lieutenant general Ales Abbot. Defense minister Karla Šlechtová this proposal was discussed with the president of the republic and with the current chief directorate of the general staff army general Josef Bečvářem, which ends with commitment.
