Regimental status in July 1914: Nationality: 37% Poles , 33% Czechs, 27% Silesian Germans, , 3% others replenishment district: Teschen (now Český Tesín in the Czech Republic and Czieszin in Poland)
Regimental rank in August 1914: IR 100 (I, III, and IV Battalions) in the 23rd Infantry Brigade of the 12th Infantry Division (a division directly subordinate to the 1st Army) - a regiment destined for the front in Halych against Russia II Battalion IR 100 in the 12th Mountain Brigade of the 48th Infantry Division (XV Army Corps) - a battalion destined for the front in Bosnia and Herzegovina against Serbia
