Status of the regiment in July 1914: national composition: 46% Slovaks, 25% Hungarians, 22% Ruthenians - Ukrainians, 7% others replenishment district: Ungvár (currently Uzhhorod in Ukraine)
Regiment classification in August 1914: IR 66 in the 29th Infantry Brigade of the 15th Infantry Division (VI Army Corps) - a regiment designed for the front in Galicia against Russia
