Medal for the Liberation of the Philippines I would like to attach pictures of this interesting medal and since I am not a type of "inserter" I will try to describe the decoration in more detail. The decision to establish a medal is made on December 20, 1944. In this initial period there is a small ribbon. The status of medals and medals In natura begins to be awarded after June 22, 1945. The medal was awarded to all soldiers, volunteers, specialists, guerrillas who participated in the liberation of the Philippines from the Japanese occupation in the period from October 17, 1944 to September 3, 1945. Medals, as well as other decorations from this period, were made in the USA. In the example we see an older type of decoration (Fig. No. 1) and a modern version of the medal (Fig. No. 2)
