Area II

This fort is disputed, as is his entire estimated (approximate) area of built up a later development, which has fundamentally changed the terrain. It's about the highest place in Cologne, the area around the church of st. Bartholomew. It can be assumed that there were originally steep slopes on the north and south. We have here doloženu a variety of archaeological finds datovatelných to the early middle ages, i.e. before the emergence of the city itself. Were also found there, richly equipped graves. There was obtained the largest of the carolinas imports, which on the territory of the CZECH republic. These imports are subject to 1. mid-9. century. One of the jewels of domestic provenance is then of 2. mid-9. century. Other findings are then from 10. century. These findings, however, cannot be supported by some other compelling evidence such as the remains of the fortifications from that time. You also could, if there really was a fort, there, however, it can be assumed that will be located at a considerable depth, and their eventual outcrop is so immensely complicated.
