Aircraft carrier , USS Enterprise (CVN-65), the first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, was decommissioned from active service. The decommissioning took place in their home port in Norfolku in Virginia. It will soon be possible within six months, unloaded the equipment of the vessel. During the next four years will be in the Huntington Ingalls Industries - Newport News Shipyard, where it will then be dragged, deprived of equipment and fuel and, subsequently, will be in 2017 towed to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility for disassembly.
Its conversion to a museum would have been allegedly too costly and so are only divided some historically interesting parts to different museums.
The name Enterprise should bear the next carrier, with narrow number 80.
