The Russian navy started in the Barents sea exercises of the Northern fleet with the participation of 36 ships, over 150 weapons systems, artillery, missile troops and special forces, the few submarines, and over 20 aircraft. Deployed will also infantry and air defense forces.
Between the warships will, inter alia, a cruiser Marshal Ustinov, destroyer Admiral Ushakov, anti-submarine ship Severomorsk and large gunships Kandapoga, Georgy Pobedonosec and Aleksandr Obrakovskij. The exercise involved a nuclear and diesel submarines.
The largest maritime exercise in the last ten years will run until the end of next week.
