Minister Jana Černochová announced that the Army of the Czech Republic and the Air Force will receive 8 additional combat and transport helicopters free of charge (donated), in addition to the order for 12 transport and combat helicopters, where production is currently underway. Thus, in total, the Air Force will receive 20 helicopters in the ratio of 10 transport Venom and 10 combat Viper.

On the eight donated helicopters already in use (6 Bell AH-1Z Viper and 2 Bell UH-1Y Venom) under the Excess Defense Articles program, the Minister said, "It will be a donation, we will only pay the cost of repair, conversion to our requirements, transportation to the Czech Republic and other related costs. These cannot be quantified precisely at the moment, but compared to the cost of the new helicopters they are incomparable." The US Embassy in Prague also commented on the delivery.
