24.06.2022 - Rusko: havárie dopravního letounu Il-76MD, 5 mrtvých

The Air and Space Forces of the Russian Federation lost the Ilyushin Il-76MD, reg. RF-78778, reg. no. 0083489659, which crashed shortly after takeoff about 5 km (3.1 mls) southeast of the Ryazan-Djagilevo airbase . Of the nine people on board, five died, three on the spot and two in hospital a week later.
Shortly after takeoff, a flight controller observed engine fire #4. The machine crashed (or made a hard emergency landing) in a field, where it came to rest against trees and subsequently caught fire. One of the engines was found about 1 km away from the crash site.

UPDATE: According to Baz, the military plane flew from Belgorod to Orenburg. An IL-76 landed at Ryazan's Diaghilevo airport for refueling. After refueling, the monster took off at 3:05 and crashed about 1 minute later.
