Palác

Palace

This is the main residential and representative building in the castle grounds and eventually the castle. The castle may have one or more palaces. They tend to have a basement and most tend to be multi-storey. The palace in castles usually have undergone a number of even radical alterations. Often currently have more architectural elements (gothic, renaissance and younger). Initially were palaces built with regard to defense strategy castle. Later, however, sometimes it was from this more or less being blown out, and the main account has been put on the representative and the residential function. It sometimes could lead to the loss of defensive value of the castle and in the final outcome it could bring its downfall. The castle of the palace, however, mostly from the 16. and especially 17. century began to be replaced by many completely new complexes of locks.
