The Macedonian parliament adopted a declaration in which it supports the acceptance of an offer to enter into the north Atlantic alliance.
NATO formally invited Macedonia to join the Alliance on condition that it ratifies its new name Republic of Northern Macedonia, in which the country has agreed with Greece. To ratification is, however, a need to change the Macedonian constitution and holding a referendum.
Macedonian prime minister Zoran Zaev have posted a question for a referendum, in which residents had about the name change vote. Sounds: "are You for membership in the European union and NATO adoption of the agreement between the Republic of Macedonia and the Hellenic republic?"
According to the survey, more than half of the population of Macedonia opposes this change.
