23.03.2018 - Paříž: antisemitsky motivovaná vražda ženy, která přežila holokaust

Mireille Knoll, born in 1932, during the second world war only narrowly escaped the mass arrests of the jewish population in Paris. Of life yet in the end came because of anti-semitism. When hit by a fire in the apartment Knoll firefighters found a charred body with eleven stab wounds.
On the weekend, police arrested two suspects, among them a muslim neighbor of the murdered. He was sentenced in 2017 for the sexual assault of 12-year-old girl. Mireille Knoll had previously threatened to kill her and burn. She then announced to the police and according to media reports, that "signed the death sentence".
The second arrested man is the shelf known for violent offences, allegedly before reciting the address of the murdered anti-semitic remarks.
In France is home to the largest jewish community in western Europe. Recently, the country faces an increased wave of anti-semitism.
