26.09.2022 - Kongo: nehoda ugandského vrtulníku Mi-17, 25 mrtvých

The Ugandan People's Defence Forces lost a Mil Mi-17 helicopter that crashed in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo after the helicopter's rotor hit a tree. All 7 people on board survived the crash, but 12 soldiers (or more) were killed on the ground. The helicopter was deployed as part of Operation Shujaa, and was carrying food supplies at the time of the accident.

The crash occurred as early as 26 September 2022. Information varies, with up to two helicopters reported to have crashed (however, this one appears to have crashed a day later). In this eventuality, 3 of the 7 people on board the helicopter and 22 people on the ground were to die. The incident occurred in the Boga region of Ituri province.
