Schwarzer Adlerorden
Rád čierneho orla, najvyššie pruské vyznamenanie. Založený bol kurfirstom brandenburským Fridrichom III. A to 17.januára 1701,deň pred jeho korunováciou na Fridricha I. pruského kráľa. V období 1701-1918 bolo rádom vyznamenaných 407 osobností, z toho 57 bolo vyznamenaných osobne Fridrichom I.
Nakoľko sa nejednalo o vyznamenanie za zásluhy, počet nositeľov tohto rádu bol spočiatku obmedzený na 30 a svojim štatútom predstavoval rytiersky rád. Členovia rádu museli dosiahnuť vek 30 rokov a predložiť dôkaz o svojom šľachtickom pôvode. Pruský princovia získali rád pri svojom narodením ale právo im bolo priznané až po dovŕšení veku 10 rokov a nosením dôstojníckej uniformy. Tieto štatúty rádu boli zmenené až Fridrichom Wilhelmom IV, keď 20.02.1848 priznal právo na tento rád aj neurodzeným, po udelení rádu Čierneho orla boli povýšení do šľachtického stavu.

Rád čierneho orla bolo jedno stupňové vyznamenanie, ktoré bolo nosené vo forme klenotu alebo hviezdy.
Klenot tvoril maltézsky kríž modrej farby doplnený po diagonálach medzi ramenami kríža čiernymi orlami s korunou. V strede bol kríž doplnený zlatým medailónom s monogramom FR, t.j. Fridericus Rex. Klenot bol nosený na reťazi alebo na šerpe oranžovej farby
Hviezda bola osemcípa strieborná v strede s čiernym pruským orlom na červenom podklade po obvode s bielym lemom v ktorom bolo motto rádu Suum cuique - Každému, čo mu patrí.
