06.01.2022 - Kazachstán: nepokoje a střet mezi protestujícími a bezpečnostními složkami, mrtví na obou stranách

Security forces in Kazakhstan have killed several anti-government demonstrators in an operation to restore order in Almaty.

In the operation, 12 members of the security forces were killed and 353 wounded. The protests erupted after the doubling of the price of liquid gas last Sunday. Apart from the above, the cause may also be the anger of the population towards the government of one party that has been regularly winning elections with 100% for 3 decades and the absence of any opposition and alternative.

Kazakh President Kassym-Zomart Tokayev has asked for friendly help and Russia has already sent a contingent to the country under the Collective Security Treaty (of which Belarus, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia are members in addition to Russia and Kazakhstan). The President accused foreign agents of organising the riots and restricted the right to assembly, shut down the internet and imposed a curfew.

no já jen, že ten nadpis i první věta evokují nějaké mírumilovné protesty a zlé vládní síly, aby se druhou větou zjistilo, že se tam vlastně umírá na obou stranách ...
stejně tak tamní prezident požádal o pomoc Organizaci Smlouvy o kolektivní bezpečnosti (generální sekretář je Bělorus), to že jako první zareagovalo Rusko je krom jiného dáno i tím, že ze všech členských států má ve společném kontigentu největší / nejsilnější jednotky (98. gardová výsadková divize a 31. samostatnou gardovou výsadkovou brigádu), kdežto zbylí členové tam mají jen po praporu (teda Kazaši tam mají také brigádu, ale jaksi ..., že?)
