The badge was established on 27 April 1911.


Badge description:


Tsar's double crowned eagle leaning on a shield. On the wings of the eagle are monograms of the Tsars:
- Paul I.
- Nicholas II.


On the chest of the eagle is the heraldic emblem of the city of Moscow (the Moscow Shield). On the shield there are crossed engineer axes on which there is a burning grenade as a symbol of the grenadier unit.


The badge has overall dimensions 49x45 mm. Product of Eduard ("Эдуардъ"). Weight 16,74 g. The badge is very rare..
