24.10.1944 Hurwitzov Sherman postupoval blízko Wouwsche-Plantage, Bergen-op-Zoom pričom v boji bol obklúčený pechotou z protitankovými zbraňami. Tank opetoval palbu až kým nebol vyradený z boja. Osádka opustila vozidlo a bojovala až kým nepadla. Sám Hurwitz niekolkokrát zranený je zajatý a umiera na následky zranení v nemocnici pri Dordrecht		 - POW
