AN/APY-8 Lynx is a high-resolution, all-weather, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI) radar system. It produces photographic-like radar images with maximum resolution of 4-inch (approx. 10cm) with the SAR spotlight mode, and tracks ground moving targets using the GMTI mode.
