History of the regiment:
The regiment was established in 1620 by a patent of 22 June of that year. It was based on a company recruited in 1618 by the commander of the Vienna Stadtguard, Colonel Mollart, to reinforce this security force. The regiment gradually grew to ten companies. Subsequently, five of them were used to form the Miniati Regiment. The regiment took part in the Battle of Lackenbach and the Battle of New Castle.
