History of the regiment:
The regiment was established by a patent of 22 September 1620. It was based on a company established in 1618 by the Viennese city commander Mollart, commanded by the rhythmist Des Fours. The regiment took part in the Battle of Lackenbach in 1620, and in the following year was active near the border with Hungary. The regiment was reduced to two separate companies in 1622. Coronini's company was disbanded in the same year, Falbenhaupt's and Hoffer's in the following year.
