History of the regiment:
The regiment was established in 1619 by the Lower Austrian Estates. On the basis of a patent of 16 April 1620, the regiment was taken into the imperial service in the same year. The regiment took part in the Battle of White Mountain and the Siege of Nové Zámky.


In 1622 the regiment was disbanded. The only exception was one company, which remained to Count Montecuccoli.
