Finnish Rifle Regiments of the Russian Army
Finnish Thirsty Regiments
The Russian Tsarist Army had a total of five Finnish Rifle Regiments, which served in the Russian Army with their bravery and discipline. Regiments, mostly supplemented from the area of today's Finland, also had a larger number of officers, native Finns.

Badge description:
The crossed silver anchors in a circle made of ship's rope are underlain with red or, more precisely, raspberry enamel. On the circle is placed a classic naked sword with the tip pointing downwards. On the head of the sword is the coat of arms with the coat of arms of Finland. On the badge is a gold ribbon with the inscription in Cyrillic: I will not give my honor to anyone (meaning: My honor is my pride, which I will never give up). At the top of the badge, between the anchors are the monograms of Tsar Alexander I and Tsar Nicholas II.
At the bottom of the badge are the dates: 1811-1911 and the inscription in Cyrillic: I. FSP (1st Finnish Rifle Regiment).
