History:
The combined battalion field hunters no 37 was created in Verona to 15. June 1866 from others depot rot battalions of field hunters no 3, no 15, no 9, no 10, no. 11 and no. 21. After the end of the war was cancelled and the company returned to their parent battalions.

The battalion was deployed to Italian battlefield. Included was the backup division Rupprechtovy. The battalion participated in the the battle of Custozy. Centurion Georg Schmidt was awarded the order of the iron crown 3. class. Setníci Rudolph ritter von Fries and Carl, the count of Modena, lieutenants Otto Doboj and Peter Cumerlotti and ensign Carl Strippelmann received the military merit cross. The other 19 members of the battalion received silver medal for bravery Also. class and 17 members of the silver medal for bravery II. class.
