In the context of the war with Turkey were in the individual plukovních districts set up a small volunteer corps of the strength of 200-400 men. Some operate relatively independently, some in close cooperation with the "parent" regiment. Councils were referred to as serežánské volunteer corps. Often they were collectively referred to as the Croatian hraničářský volunteer corps.
