History of the Regiment:
Leslie's regiment participated successfully in the Battle of Nördlingen, and operated in the Upper Rhine the following year and in Westphalia in 1636-1637. In 1638 he was in Pomerania, and in the following year he moved to Bohemia and Saxony, where he underwent the Battle of Saxe Kamenice. In 1640 he participated in the capture of Höxter and the siege of Fritzlar.
