Badge: 		Samotná medaile je kruhová o průměru 30 mm. Medaile ražena ve stříbra nebo zlaceném bronzu. Jen velmi vzácně se tato medaile objevuje ve zlatě. Takováto medaile byla dražená v roce 1970 u aukčního domu Klenau a její cena byla 500 DM (což tehdy bylo hodně peněz).


Medaile nesou mladistvý portrét knížete. Portrét byl práce českého medailera Václava Jana Seidana. Medaile je kruhová, průměr 30 mm váha ve stříbře 17 g. Váha medaile zlaté(v pozlaceném bronzu) je 12,5 g


V roce 1908 došlo k reorganizaci, ale je možno říci, že mimo stěžejkového závěsu se na medaili nic nemění, dochází k upřesnění zásluh, za jaké je možno medaili udělovat. K medaili je napojeno větší kulovité ouško,kterým prochází závěsný kruh. V našich sbírkách je medaile vzácná, neb se neudělovala legionářům bojujícím se zbraní v ruce, pro tento účel byly třízení medaile Za chrabrost.

Montenegro has focused all its efforts on honouring bravery, courage and merit in the fight for the country's freedom. To establish a medal that would be seen as universally meritorious and could be awarded both to soldiers in peacetime and above all to other subjects of the monarch. Prince Nikola did not establish such a medal until 19 December 1895. This meritorious medal bears the title "FOR BRAVERY".


Falerists in Serbia describe the situation that this medal was already established in 1859, but there is no documentation for these claims. The first issue of this medal from 1895 is divided into the following:


- Gold with a movable mast for hanging on a ribbon.
- Silver with movable mast for hanging on a ribbon.


The medal itself is circular with a diameter of 30 mm. The medal is struck in silver or gilded bronze. Only very rarely does this medal appear in gold. Such a medal was auctioned in 1970 at the Klenau auction house and its price was 500 DM (which was a lot of money back then).


The medals bear a youthful portrait of the Prince. The portrait was the work of the Czech medal maker Václav Jan Seidan. The medal is circular, diameter 30 mm, weight in silver 17 g. The weight of the gold medal (in gilded bronze) is 12,5 g


In 1908 there was a reorganization, but it is possible to say that apart from the masthead hinge nothing changes on the medal, there is a specification of the merits for which the medal can be awarded. A larger spherical eyelet is connected to the medal, through which the hanging ring passes. The medal is rare in our collections, as it was not awarded to legionaries fighting with arms in their hands; the Medal of Valour was created for this purpose.


STUHA:
The issue of the ribbon is inconsistent among all decorations worn in Montenegro. The medal appears both on the ribbon (Slavic tricolour) and on the ribbons of others, even of the Russian Order of Stanislav. Here the medal depicted bears the original ribbons,which the original wearer respected.
