Medal of the Good Mortar
A medal of good leadership and nativity
Medal of the Manned Grenadier
The Royal Yugoslav army had a sufficient number of smaller mortars. Soldiers undergoing mortar training also had to be honored and awarded with a visibly worn decoration-medal. It was for these military specialists that a medal was established, which follows a number of similar shooting medals, which we have already described.
Medal description:
Obverse:
Against the background of mountains, in the center of the medal is shown a mortar in firing position. At the top of the medal is the Yugoslav royal crown. At the edge of the medal is a half-ring made of laurel leaves tied at the bottom with a ribbon.
Reverse:
The back is typical for these medals, ie on bright rays is placed a decorative cartouche, which bears the inscription in Cyrillic and Latin: Dobrom nishanjiji bacacha.
The medal with the tab is struck from one piece, which means that this medal has a flat tab. Ribbon of national colors (Slavic tricolor). The medal is certainly rare, as it was awarded briefly in the period 1940-1941.
