Medal while ranked mr. Václav Měřička into your inventory decorations II. It is interesting that neither the medal, which is divided into degrees with not a word about the guerrilla group or the resistance does not mention.
Description of the medal:
The medal is ranked among the universally meritorious decoration, and is broken down into three stages:
- gold medal
- silver medal
- bronze medal
Avers:
Medals with a diameter of 35 mm is made of base metal and modified with gilding (silvering). In the area of the medal is the bust of John Sparks of Brandys with a cap called "poděbradka" on the head in a heavy and luxurious décor coat trimmed round neck rare fur. Warrior Jan the Spark in your right hand grips the command symbol, in our case, the battle mace.
In the upper part of the medal is the in-depth machine-etched gothic inscription:
"JAN JISKRA FROM BRANDYS"
Reverse:
The back is smooth and there is spaced inscription:
- in the middle part of the order "FOR MERITS"
- at the edge of the medal is the inscription: "ČESKOSLOVENSKÁ NATIONAL GUARD"
Medal with cylindrical suspension eyelet is exceptionally well made and after the page on medals is one of the very nice ražbám of this fruitful medailerského period.
RIBBON:
The ribbon is 40 mm wide, red with blue, closely the white linen side stripe.
The medal was always rare but in the last ten years has been appearing more frequently (catalog Aurea Prague). Even if it's not about any resistance group is about the decorations of special interest. This group, however, was not recognised as a resistance group and in the magazine the Voice of the revolution of her history does not speak. In the best case, it can be classified as badge type's Revolutionary guard Plzeň.
