Klenot: Badge:
Odznak má podobu velkého písmena, korunovaného monogramu cara Nikolaje II. V tomto písmeno je menší monogram cara Alexandra III. Na dolní části těchto monogramu je ovinutá stříbrná kovová stuha s nápisem :
„1. ЖЕЛЪЕЗНОДОРОЖНЫЙ ПОЛКЪ“ ( 1. železniční pluk)
Písmena jsou ražena a vyplněna černým smaltem. V případě odznaku pro poddůstojníky a vojáky, který je vyroben z obecného kovu a patinován do barvy stříbra je nápis reliefní.

Badge 1. the railway regiment Знак 1-го Железнодорожного полка Badge of th 1st Railroad Regiment
The badge of this specialist military unit was based on 10. may 1908.
Vast Russian empire was already the end of the century associated and linked to the railroad. Moscow and st. Petersburg or Kiev, but also other smaller cities, certainly with regard to the defense of the country link rail and after the military page of the connections between the retaining point of the country (the fortress) was commonplace. The Russian military had its own railway troops needed although in the case of a war danger was envisaged with a hard military regime primarily on the rail.
Description of the badge:
The badge takes the form of large letters, crowned monogram of tsar Nicholas II. In this letter is a smaller monogram of tsar Alexander III. At the bottom of these monogram is wrapped silver metal ribbon with the inscription :
"1. ЖЕЛЪЕЗНОДОРОЖНЫЙ ПОЛКЪ“ ( 1. the railway regiment)
The letters are excavated and filled in with black enamel. In the case of the badge for non-commissioned officers and soldiers, which is made from base metal and modified to old silver look to the color of silver is the inscription embossment.
