Mi-8MTPI disponuje systémom "Ikebana", ktorý je určený na rušenie nepriateľských radarov, vrátane rádiolokátorov protivzdušnej obrany. Tento variant má svoje antény umiestnené viac v strede a na oboch stranách vrtuľníka, čím je možné ho ľahko odlíšiť od verzie Mi-8MTPB.

Apparently, it seems that the Ukrainians themselves have no idea what they are actually operating, because the photo does not show the Mi-8MTPI, but the Mi-8MTI. According to photos and a description in Specialny Vosmjorka's article in Istoria aviacii No. 25, MTPI looks basically like Mi-8PPA, with the same "mattress" antennas of the Fasol system at the back and with the antennas of the system Azalija under the rectangular covers on the sides of the cabin. However, it is based on the Mi-8MT, so it can be distinguished by the shape of the exhausts and tail rotor to the left of the right trance, and of course by the Ikebana system antenna, which is located between the above antennas and which the Mi-8PPA lacks. Another possibility is that the photo shows a Mi-8MTPS. I do not find any difference between the machines in the photos marked Mi-8MTPS in the mentioned article and the photos of Mi-8MTI in V. Markovský's publication Nězamenimyj Mi-8 - soup in the machine (and also here in the topic Mi-8MTI).
Edit: Most likely it's a Mi-8MTPS, and most Mi-8MTI photos also show a Mi-8MTPS. They look almost the same, but in some photos the front and back covers of the antenna are straight (eg here www.airliners.net), on in other photos (eg above) the front cover is divided into 14 rectangles and the back is covered with hexagons.
