Puma speciálně určená k ničení vzletových a přistávacích drah. Byla vyvinuta v sedmdesátých letech společností Matra. Do výzbroje francouzského letectva byla zavedena v roce 1977.


Na počátku osmdesátých let se o pumu začalo zajímat US Air Force, protože jeho projekt BLU-106/B nabral zpoždění. Durandal byl nakonec do výzbroje amerického letectva zaveden pod označením BLU-107/B, program BLU-106/B byl proto zrušen.
