The TRS-190 missile was a design office project 150 ( & # 1054; & # 1050; & # 1041; -155), and its development began in late 1951. This was essentially unguided rocket cal. 190 mm was launched from an ORO-190 rocket ( & # 1054; & # 1056; & # 1054; -190) with a barrel length of 1800 mm. The fighter was chosen as a fighter MiG-17, which received the SI index -19 ( & # 1057; & # 1048; -19) and carried two launchers (rocket launchers) on the wing hangers. The missiles were originally equipped with unreliable mechanical detonators VMTR ( & # 1042; & # 1052; & # 1058; & # 1056;), respectively. electric ZV-51 ( & # 1047; & # 1042; -51).
Simultaneously with the MiG-17, MiG-15bis was tested as a carrier, which was equipped with two pairs of missiles ORO-190K ( & # 1054; & # 1056; & # 1054; -190 & # 1050;) with a shorter barrel length (730 mm) . These missiles allowed firing TRS-190 missiles equipped with an electric detonator V-19 ( & # 1042; -19).
In the end, they were not accepted into the armament of the Soviet Air Force TRS-90.
