In January 1943, the regiment, armed with Jak-1 fighters, fought within the Don Front as part of the 220th IAD. This was followed by a transfer to the North Caucasus Front and participation in the battle of Cuba. At the end of the year, he converted to Jak-9 aircraft and in September 1943 he was transferred to the Southern Front, which then became the 4th Ukrainian Front. Here the regiment participated in the liberation of Crimea. Then he was transferred to the 3rd Belarusian Front, where he exchanged Jak-9 machines for new Jak-3 fighters. He ended the war with an attack on Berlin within the 1st Belorussian Front.
