44-40 Winchester

44-40 Winchester
This hub has a large number of synonyms (44-40 W.C.F., 44-40-200, 44-40 Marlin, etc.) and could be included in a section of the rounds of ammunition for short weapons, shortly after 1873 when it was introduced for Winchestrovu shotgun with the bottom lever, started for him to produce his revolvers, even Colt. The hub survived the transition into the era of smokeless powder, its importance gradually declined, but currently is experiencing a mild renaissance, mainly in replicas of weapons. The bullets on the slide are the products from left 1) the Czechoslovak munitions and metal plants of Bratislava (formerly Georg Roth) with the less common metric caliber, 2) Georg Roth, Vienna or Bratislava, 3) Remington Arms Bridgeport USA with the mass shot in a paper container with embossing XL, indicating a greater overall length of the hub. On the right is a charge of 7,62x39. Photo by author
