Airdrop was thrown together with a group of Tungsten airplane Handley Page Halifax Mk.II JP242/GR-E, belonging to the 301. squadron . The crew consisted of the pilot F/Sgt Tadeusz Mioduchovski, navigator F/Sgt Stanisław Krzemiński, radiooperátor W/O Zygmunt Zarębski, on-board mechanic Sgt Stanislaw Piątkowski, dispatcher F/Sgt Alfred Schike, bombometčík F/Sgt Antoni Kajdewicz and gunner F/Sgt Edward Waloch. The machine took off from the base of the Campo Cassale at Brindisi, where also in the 2:05 landed after the 9:35 flight hours. During the flight the machine was twice attacked by a night tank, but the crew managed to escape and accomplish the task.
