Volvo Flygmotor RM 8B

Engine RM8B (modified Pratt & Whitney JT8D-22) vznikol other vývojom from the version of RM8A, špeciálne developed by the pre SAAB JA-37.
The engine is tvorený axiálnym trojstupňovým dúchadlom, trojstupňovým low-pressure kompresorom and a seven-degree high-pressure kompresorom. Spaľovacia chamber is consisting of štvortryskovým spaľovacím systémom an annular shape. The high-pressure turbine has one stage, low pressure turbine is three-stage.
