As part of a radio counter-game by the Gestapo's anti-parachute department QUARTIERMACHER, radio operator, locksmith Emil Kammler (7.7.1909) was lured out of the USSR and dropped off near the village of Allenstein in East Prussia. He was immediately arrested by the Gestapo, who also obtained the new radio station he was transporting. He was imprisoned in Mauthausen, where he also perished.
