1869 established Moravian Infantry Battalion Landwehr Kroměříž No.12 1875 name changed to Moravian Infantry Landwehr Battalion No.12
The battalion was replenished from replenishment district No.3 from 1884 from district No.54. The station remained Kroměříž.

The Kroměříž Battalion belonged to the Moravian Infantry Regiment of the Land-Guard No. 14.. 1894 the independence of the Zemranec battalions was abolished, the Kroměříž battalion became the 3rd battalion of the Zemranec infantry regiment Brno No. 14.
1900 the Zemranec infantry regiment Kroměříž No. 25 was formed from the 3rd battalion of the Zemranec infantry regiment Brno No. 14. and the 25th Land-Grenadier Infantry Regiment form the 26th Land-Grenadier Infantry Brigade in Brno
