11. ženijně-construction brigade was set up 13. march 1944 at the Kharkiv military district and placed in the city of Zaporozhye. Formed was the headquarters of the brigade and the 28th, 29. and 30. ženijně-construction battalion. Brigade had systematizováno 2 725 members and 275 civilians. To fill the personnel were transferred people from the 25., 26. and 36. governance defence construction. However even then not to the full fulfillment of the conditions. The result was the abolition of the 30. battalion. The brigade was made available to the Special construction-installation administration Dněprostroj and participated in the reconstruction of the Dněperského the water node.
