Note:		 V měsících květnu a červnu 1937 byla v Katalánsku zorganizována 142. smíšená brigáda, pod velením podplukovníka pěchoty José García-Miranda Esteban. Jednotka byla původně myšlena jako baskicko-pyrenejská brigáda z baskickým praporem, evakuovaným ze severní fronty, když bylo Bilbao ztraceno, z kolony Pi-Suñer a „Batallón de la Muerte“, složený z italských anarchistů. Výcvik probíhal v Caspe a přestože brigáda nebyla na začátku bitvy o Belchite plně vyzbrojena, některé její prapory se ho dokonce účastnily. Oficiálně byla brigáda rozpuštěna v říjnu 1937, ale „Batallón de la Muerte“ nadále existoval pod velením majora domobrany Celestino Uriarte Bedia, bývalého šéfa baskického praporu. „Batallón de la Muerte“ prakticky zmizel po pokusu o útok na Ermita de Santa Quiteria na frontě Huesca. In May and June 1937, the 142nd Mixed Brigade was organized in Catalonia, under the command of Lt. Col. José García-Miranda Esteban. The unit was originally thought of as a Basque-Pyrenean brigade with a Basque battalion evacuated from the northern front when Bilbao was lost, a Pi-Suñer column and a "Batallón de la Muerte" composed of Italian anarchists. The training took place in Caspe, and although the brigade was not fully armed at the beginning of the Battle of Belchite, some of its battalions even took part. The brigade was officially disbanded in October 1937, but the "Batallón de la Muerte" continued to exist under the command of Major General Celestino Uriarte Bedia, the former head of the Basque battalion. The "Batallón de la Muerte" practically disappeared after an attempted attack on the Ermita de Santa Quiteria on the Huesca front.
