As part of the improvement movement and the effort to save fuel and the service life of full-fledged combat vehicles in the post-war Czechoslovak army, this makeshift teaching aid - a moving tower - was also created. This aid was intended to improve gunnery training for future tank crews T-34/85.
The platform consisted of a pair of narrow-track trucks on which the hull skeleton was welded. The latter was made of old thick-walled tubes. In this case, a turret from a German armoured vehicle Sd.Kfz. 234/2 was mounted on the hull. A TS-16 sight was mounted in the turret by cutting out the armour in front of the gunner and welding the sight mounting bracket to the armour cover of the gun. A small-bore rifle with a five-round magazine mounted in place of the coaxial machine gun was used for firing. Firing was by means of a bowden cable, the trigger being on a sighting wheel. This aid moved along a track 20 yards long. The movement of this dummy was provided by means of a wire rope with a winch, adapted to both electric and manual propulsion. The shooter fired at hinged targets placed on a plastic table 15 metres from the end of the track.
