Note:		 30. dubna 1938 byla v Sille zformována nová smíšená brigáda s tímto číslováním, založená na zbytcích 38. a 196. brigády, které byly rozpuštěny po aragonském tažení. Připojila se k 52. divizi XXI. armádního sboru a jejím velením byl pověřen major domobrany Rafael Barredo González. 11. srpna 1938 se přesunula se svou divizí do Extremadury. 22. dne vstoupila na linii v sektoru Monterrubio-Puerto Urraco-Castuera, ale po třech dnech byla vysřídána, protože nebyla schopna obsadit Zarzu Capillu. Začátkem září byla stažena do Ademuzu se záměrem přeměnit ji na šokovou brigádu. Po Ademuzu pokračovala v krytí fronty v sektoru Las Peñas, i když téměř vždy v záloze. V prosinci 1938 byla soustředěna v Hinojosa del Duque k účasti v bitvě u Peñarroya se skupinou „Toral“. 7. ledna 1939 zahájila své útoky v okolí silnice z Peraledy do La Granja de Torrehermosa, což vedlo k velkým ztrátám a byla stažena z fronty. Poté, co obnovila ztráty, bránila linii frontu v Minas de Azogue a Santa Eufemia. On April 30, 1938, a new mixed brigade with this numbering was formed in Silla, based on the remnants of the 38th and 196th Brigades, which were disbanded after the Aragonese campaign. She joined the 52nd Division XXI. Army Corps and its command was entrusted to Major General Rafael Barredo Gonzalez. On August 11, 1938, she moved with her division to Extremadura. On the 22nd day, she entered the line in the Monterrubio-Puerto Urraco-Castuera sector, but was dismissed after three days because she was unable to occupy Zarza Capilla. She was withdrawn to Ademuz in early September with the intention of turning her into a shock brigade. After Ademuz, she continued to cover the front in the Las Peñas sector, although almost always in reserve. In December 1938, she was concentrated in Hinojosa del Duque to take part in the Battle of Peñarroya with the group "Toral". On January 7, 1939, she launched her attacks around the road from Peraleda to La Granja de Torrehermosa, which led to heavy losses and was withdrawn from the front. After resuming losses, she defended the front line at Minas de Azogue and Santa Eufemia.
