Note:		 6. srpna se 14. smíšená brigáda stala 178. smíšenou brigádou a byla podřízena 55. divizi XV. armádního sboru. O několik dní později brigáda obsadila pozice v San Pedro del Romeral a poté, co byla uvolněna jednou z brigád 50. divize, odešla do Entrambasaguas v předvečer ofenzívy národních sil. Jakmile ofenziva začala, velitel brigády San Emeterio dezertoval, byl stíhán a na lodi, která ho odvezla ze Santanderu do Francie, 23.10.1937 spáchal sebevraždu. Jeho dezerci doprovázela většina jeho mužů a spolu s ní zmizela i 178 smíšená brigáda. On August 6, the 14th Mixed Brigade became the 178th Mixed Brigade and was subordinated to the 55th Division XV. Army Corps. A few days later, the brigade occupied positions in San Pedro del Romeral, and after being vacated by one of the brigades of the 50th Division, it left for Entrambasaguas on the eve of the national forces' offensive. As soon as the offensive began, the commander of the San Emeterio brigade deserted, was prosecuted and 23.10.1937 committed suicide on a ship that took him from Santander to France. His desertion was accompanied by most of his men, and the Mixed Brigade disappeared with her.
