Note:		 30. dubna 1938 byla v Linares vytvořena 198. smíšená brigáda, která byla začleněna do 51. divize XVII. armádního sboru. Formace brigády byla složena z 50 % veteránů z jiných jednotek a 50 % branců. Její výcvik a formování byl značně zpožděn, takže plné operační pohotovosti dosáhla až v květnu, kdy byla převedena k 71. divizi VI. sboru armády v Castilblanco. 198. smíšená brigáda bylo poslána k pokrytí sektoru Logrosán, města obsazeného silami rebelů 19. divize, kde zůstala, dokud nebyla poslána do Hinojosa del Duque jako záloha pro bitvu u Peñarroya. 7. ledna 1939 se při ochraně levého křídla ofenzívy zapojila do těžkých bojů u Puerto de los Flights v sektoru Monterrubio, které způsobily těžké ztráty. Byla stažena z fronty a narychlo reorganizována, aby mohla být poslána do Katalánska, kam dorazila 19. ledna. Ztratila svůj charakter jako smíšená brigáda, aby se spolu s 199. smíšenou brigádou stala skupinou Arriaga. Skupina zanikla při pádu Katalánska. On April 30, 1938, the 198th Mixed Brigade was formed in Linares, which was incorporated into the 51st Division XVII. Army Corps. The brigade formation was composed of 50% veterans from other units and 50% conscripts. Its training and formation was significantly delayed, so it reached full operational readiness only in May, when it was transferred to the 71st Division VI. Army Corps in Castilblanco. The 198th Mixed Brigade was sent to cover the Logrosán sector, a city occupied by rebel forces of the 19th Division, where it remained until it was sent to Hinojosa del Duque as a backup for the Battle of Peñarroya. On January 7, 1939, while protecting the left wing of the offensive, she engaged in heavy fighting near Puerto de los Flights in the Monterrubio sector, which caused heavy losses. She was withdrawn from the front and hastily reorganized so that she could be sent to Catalonia, where she arrived on January 19. It lost its character as a mixed brigade to become the Arriaga group together with the 199th mixed brigade. The group disappeared during the fall of Catalonia.
