Note:		 221. smíšená brigáda vznikla v létě 1937 v Ciudad Real a byla přidělena k 68. divizi XX. armádního sboru. V prosinci 1937 byla převelena k 71. divizi XXIII. armádního sboru do Albuñolu. Vzhledem k situaci na levantské frontě se 11. června 1938 vydala se 49. divizí XX. armádního sboru na tuto frontu a pokračovala krýt první linii na řece Míjares. 4. července bránila oblast Vall d'Uxó a Alfondeguilla a odtud ustupovala, vždy v předvoji, dokud se nepřipojila k linii XYZ. Od 7. do 10. listopadu se zúčastnila zmařeného útoku na Nules a Castellón. 4. února 1939 se připojila k 15. divizi XX. armádního sboru a vystřídala 75. smíšenou brigádu na cestě z Artany do rokle Aigualit. The 221st Mixed Brigade was formed in the summer of 1937 in Ciudad Real and was assigned to the 68th XX Division. army corps. In December 1937, she was transferred to the 71st Division XXIII. Army Corps to Albuñol. Due to the situation on the Levant front, on June 11, 1938, the 49th Division of the XX. Army Corps to this front and continued to cover the first line on the Míjares River. On 4 July it defended the Vall d'Uxó and Alfondeguilla area and retreated from there, always in the vanguard, until it joined the XYZ line. From November 7 to 10, she took part in the failed attack on Nules and Castellón. On February 4, 1939, she joined the 15th XX Division. army corps and replaced the 75th mixed brigade on the way from Artana to the gorge of Aigualit.
