Infantry Regiment 22 [1920-1938]
The headquarters of the infantry regiment was established on 30 August 1920 as part of the unification of the armed forces by merging the 22nd Rifle Regiment [1918-1920] and the 74th Infantry Regiment [1918-1920] on the basis of a decree of the Ministry of National Defense, ref. 5.700-org.1919.
It was located in Jičín, subject to the headquarters of the 7th Infantry Brigade [1920-1937] and from January 1938 the headquarters of the 13th Division [1937-1938].
From October 1923 to September 1938, the regiment bore the honorary title of "Argon Infantry Regiment" and from its predecessor received the War Cross 1914-1918.
