Peacetime deployment of the regiment in February 1914:

Regimental Headquarters, I. and II. detachment: Josephstadt (now Josefov in the Czech Republic)
superior units: 9th Field Artillery Brigade (IX Army Corps)


Regimental status in July 1914:
Nationality: 62% Czechs, 36% Sudeten Germans, 2% others
replenishment district: 9th Korpskommando (on the territory of the present Czech Republic)


Regimental assignment in August 1914:
FKR 25 in the formation of the 10th Field Artillery Brigade of the 10th Infantry Division (IX Army Corps) - a regiment destined for the front in Halych against Russia

25th Field Gun Regiment


Formed on 1 May 1885 as the independent 17th Artillery Regiment (Batteriedivision Nr. 17) from the former 4th Field Artillery Regiment (Feldartillerieregiment Nr. 4). From 1 January 1894 changed to 25th Divisional Artillery Regiment (Divisionsartillerieregiment Nr. 25), from 6 April 1908 25th Field Gun Regiment (Feldkanonenregiment Nr. 25).
