The most important events in the history of the regiment
- April 1937 re-established in Nagoya county, then Anhui province (central China) and then Hana (central China)
- 1943 Burma, subordinated to 15th Division
- March 1944 - crossing of the Chindwin River, beginning of Operation U-Go
- April 1944 - fighting near Imphal (several dozen km), Kangpokpi
- 10.7.1944 - order to retreat exhausted regiment from heavy fighting in Imphal
- 28.12.1944 - complete retreat to the Irrawaddy River, regiment reduced to about 600 men
- January 1945 fighting on the Irrawaddy River
- May 1945 retreat to Thailand
- August 1945 surrender
