3. Carpathian Riflemen's Division


3rd Carpathian Rifle Division


It was established 03.05.1942 in Palestine from units Independent Carpathian Rifle Brigade and divisions 9th and 10th Divisions, which came from the USSR under the command of Brigadier General Stanisław Kopański. From August 1943, the commander of the division was Brigadier General Bronisław Duch.
The unit was included in the group from November 1942 2. Polish Corps General Wladyslaw Anders.
