434. IAP (from 21.11.1942 32.GIAP)
In 1941, the regiment fought on Kalininsky and later on the Northwest Front (was armed with Jak-1 aircraft). At the beginning of 1942, he was transferred to the Southwest Front, where he suffered heavy losses caused by new Messerschmidtt Bf 109 G fighters, which began to come into the arsenal of Luftwaffe fighter units. This was followed by a quick defeat on Jak-7B aircraft and immediate deployment to the fighting near Stalingrad, which had just flared up. On September 19, the regiment lost eight aircraft and five pilots in one combat flight. Then, as part of the 210th IAD, he returned to the Northwest Front in the Demjansko area, and then again to the Kalinin front. Further rearmament of La-5 fighters was timed so that the regiment could be deployed in July 1943 to fight near Kursk. At that time, he operated within the Bryansk Front. At the beginning of 1944, the regiment moved to the 1st Baltic Front and followed them over Poland and East Prussia. In September, he received new Jak-3 fighters and was transferred to the 1st Ukrainian Fort for the final attack into the interior of Germany.
